Counselling

Counselling involves discussion and reflection through “talk therapy”, mindfulness activities and (at times) structured exercises.

My therapeutic approach draws heavily on Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) within a person-centred framework.

Each session is personalised to your preferences, needs and goals to support you to make changes to live more authentically.

The focus of sessions is guided by you, but may include:

  • Exploring and managing burnout and fluctuating energy levels.

  • Exploring your values.

  • Self-compassionate goal setting to get stuff done.

  • Exploring self-narrative (stories we tell ourselves about the world and how we live in it).

  • NDIS Progress Reporting (upon request).

  • Communication with medical and allied health professionals (upon request).

Suitable for:

  • Late-diagnosed and identified neurodivergent people.

  • Peri-menopausal and menopausal women.

  • Adults wanting guidance to navigate life changes.

  • Adults seeking to improve their relationship with themselves.

Mentoring / Neurodivergent Coaching

Mentoring (Neurodivergent Coaching) sessions involve identifying changes you would like to make, setting goals, then learning techniques and strategies to use at home, in the community, or in the workplace.

Areas of focus may include:

  • Managing burnout and fluctuating energy levels.

  • Building self-advocacy skills to engage more effectively in workplace, educational, health and community settings.

  • Managing transitions from high school to study and/or work, including accessing supports.

  • Self-compassionate goal setting to get stuff done.

  • Supporting sensory and emotional regulation.

  • Some independent work on exercises outside of session with guided reflection and discussion during sessions.

  • Opportunities for shadowing / practicing skills during sessions.

Suitable for:

  • Late-diagnosed and identified neurodivergent people.

  • Peri-menopausal and menopausal women.

  • Young people considering post-school study and/or career and work options.

  • Adults considering career options or navigating other life changes.
