Counselling
Counselling focuses on exploring and resolving emotional issues and past experiences.
I use a person-centred approach incorporating techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy.
Our counselling sessions involve a mix of discussion and reflection through “talk therapy”, mindfulness activities and structured exercises. Each session is personalised to your preferences, needs and goals to support you to make changes to live more authentically according to your values.
My sessions are underpinned with self-compassion and may explore self-narrative (stories we tell ourselves about the world and how we live in it).
Neurodivergent Coaching
Neurodivergent coaching sessions involve identifying areas that you would like to make changes and setting goals, then learning techniques and strategies that you can use at home, in the community, or in the workplace.
Areas of focus may include:
Managing fluctuating energy levels.
Getting stuff done.
Sensory and emotional regulation.
Helping parents to support their children at home, school and in the community.
Self-advocacy in the workplace, health system and/or the community.
Face to face support in Brisbane.
Remote support Australia-wide.
Neurodiversity affirming with lived experience of neurodiversity.
Trauma-informed.
LGBT+ ally.
