Counselling
Counselling focuses on exploring and resolving emotional issues and past experiences.
I use a person-centred approach incorporating techniques from solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative therapy.
Our counselling sessions involve a mix of discussion and reflection through “talk therapy”, mindfulness activities and structured exercises. Each session is personalised to your preferences, needs and goals to support you to make changes to live more authentically according to your values.
My sessions are underpinned with self-compassion and may explore self-narrative (stories we tell ourselves about the world and how we live in it).
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching / Support Coordination
I support and empower neurodiverse people and their families to:
Identify and work with their strengths.
Identify and link in with supports.
Advocate for themselves and their families within workplaces, schools, and health services.
I have tertiary and professional training in psychology, counselling and health science. I recommend best-fit services that are neuro-affirming, strengths-based and evidence-based.
