I love working with neurodivergent people
Today I had three networking events before lunch time. That’s about 2 and a half events more than I was comfortable with.
This morning for me featured brain fog and fatigue from a low-level migraine from several days of low air pressure hanging around SE Queensland. (Yay for being super sensitive to weather patterns.)
I loved being at each event and talking with everyone while simultaneously getting over-stimulated and craving quiet time alone with my cat and a cup of tea.
I shared a beautiful moment with a fellow NDIS provider today when the tabs in my brain all just shut at once. I mentioned this to him and that it was my third networking event that day. He looked at me and said “three already today” with a look of understanding and compassion. We repicked up our conversation without fuss and shared how we can work together to help our clients.
Professionalism for me involves meeting people where they’re at in the moment.
